How does Monitoring work?

Event
When a sensor or contact detects an event such as fire, intrusion or rising water, a signal is sent and activates the alarm.
 
Alarm
The control unit/panel seizes control of the premise's phone line and dials the AAA monitoring centre.
 
Monitoring Centre
Driven by sophisticated technology, our operators' computers automatically display pertinent details of the situation and the home owner or business' profile. The receiving AAA Alarms operator initiates response procedures specifically set up with the customer. This may involve contacting keyholders, guard service or the proper authorities.

The AAA monitoring centre automatically archives all alarm activity to proactively identify suspicious trends surrounding maintenance issues and user problems. As well, this information is available to the alarm owner.
 
Test Signals
Remote communication testing is typically performed every week, to ensure you are connected properly with our monitoring centre.
