Lynn M. Poole Tax Service was founded in January 1966 by Lynn M. Poole using a spare room in his home as his office. At that time, Lynn Poole was the only employee. By 1969, the business had grown enough to hire one additional employee. In 1976, Mr. Poole moved to an office on Cameron Street and hired another employee. In 1978,we bought the building at our present location at 712 S. Braddock Street and hired 2 more employees. Currently, Lynn M. Poole Tax Service has a total of five full-time and two part-time employees. This is our 43rd year in business.

Lynn M. Poole Tax Service is a member of the Top of Virginia Regional Chamber. We are open all year Monday through Friday 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM with extended hours February 1st through April 15th Monday through Friday 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM. and Saturday 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

Our client base includes individual income tax returns and planning, small businesses, LLC’s, corporations, sub-s corporations, and partnerships. We offer tax return preparation for all of the above categories, complete bookkeeping services, payroll preparation, all payroll quarterly reports, year-end reports, W-2′s, 1099′s, tax planning, financial statements, new business consultations, financial planning for estates, retirement planning, 401-Ks, SEPs, and IRAs. We also do consultations on the purchase or sale of properties and businesses and like-kind exchanges. We can handle IRS or state audits, and we can resolve all types of tax problems and issues for our clients. New clients are welcome!
