Our Agency History:
In January of 1992, three agencies came together in order to better serve our Kaufman
County customers. Jack Rymer of J. Rymer and Associates of Terrell, Betty Nash Hendrickson
of Temple Nash Agency of Kaufman, and Jerry Rowden and Jim Shipley of Rowden-Shipley
Agency formed the Rowden, Hendrickson, Shipley & Rymer, Inc. Insurance Agency.
With multiple offices from the beginning, the agency continues to serve our customers in
Kaufman County and beyond.
The addition of Craig McLemore in 1994 allowed the agency to open an office in
Seagoville, Texas early in 1995. With an office in Dallas County, the agency began serving
customers in the metroplex while holding on to our roots in Kaufman County.
The year 2000 brought retirement of Jerry Rowden and Craig McLemore becoming a partner.
Through the years, Bobby Aga joined the agency bringing years of experience in life and health insurance.
The ability to offer life and health insurance services rounds out the services we can bring to
our customers. Wayne Babovec joined our agency as a producer experienced in personal lines,
farm and ranch, and commerical insurance to provide better service to our customers.
Our staff is licensed and educated to help our customers get the best insurance at the best price.
In a time of changing insurance forms and changing insurance companies, we strive to serve our
customers' insurance needs.
Our agency was recognized by the Independent Insurance Agents of Texas as among the longest
established agencies in Texas. Temple Nash Agency was established in 1898 by
Temple Nash, grandfather of Betty Nash Hendrickson.
