Chambers & Phillips Inc began in 1957 in the Van Zandt community of Odom, Texas, and in 1960 relocated to Canton, Texas.
Mr. R. R. Chambers (then holder of License 714W) retired in 1974 and sold his holdings to his grandson, W. R. Phillips, and nephew, Richard Butcher. In 1990, Bill Phillips (then holder of License 623W) retired and sold his holdings to W. R. Phillips (son) and Richard Butcher (cousin). W. R. Phillips has his Texas Master License 2847WI and Richard Butcher holds his Pump Installer License, 4094PKL.
In 1999, Jason Phillips and Brian Butcher, sons of current owners, bought into Chambers and Phillips Inc, ensuring a fourth generation of family holdings. Jason Phillips has a Unit 1 Class D Water Works Operations License No. WO 0014763.
Richard Butcher retired in 2004, selling his holding to Jason Phillips (Texas Master License 55066 WI) and Brian Butcher (Texas License # 55067 PW).
Chambers & Phillips Inc continues with the excellence and reputation its original founders instilled in the company. They drill on the average of 120 wells per year, with more than 5,000 wells to the company's credit.
Chambers & Phillips has drillers licenses, pump installer licenses , is insured and is bondable. They belong to the Texas Ground Water Association as well as Texas Rural Water Association. Texas DOT # 5536686C is issued to Chambers and Phillips Inc.
