Community Development Bank celebrated its 100-year anniversary in 2006. Throughout its history, Community Development Bank has provided its customers with the highest quality loan and deposit products, delivered with industry leading customer service.

The year 2001 was a year of change for Community Development Bank. That year, three non-profit Community Development Corporations purchased the institution. A for-profit financial institution owned by three non-profit CDCs is unique in the country. We are committed to the economic, housing and community development of the areas we serve. To strengthen that commitment, we have brought several new lending and deposit products to our customers, quadrupled the assets size of the bank and expanded our staff. Community Development Bank earned an “Outstanding” rating during our last Community Reinvestment Examination. We pride ourselves in being a true community bank.

For our efforts, Community Development Bank has been designated as a Certified Development Financial Institution by the Department of Treasury. This designation has garnered over $1,700,000 in funding that has been used to increase our lending capacity. In addition, national organizations such as the Northwest Area Foundation, Fannie Mae, the Calvert Foundation and the Rural Local Initiative Support Corporation have contributed to our efforts.
