Our Doctors

Dr. Vandenberge graduated from West Point High School located in northeastern Nebraska. He received his bachelor's degree from Midland Lutheran College, Fremont, Nebraska. In 1973, he graduated from Pacific University School of Optometry, Forest Grove, Oregon. He and his wife Diane moved to Scottsbluff in 1973 buying an optometry practice from Dr. Fred Polte, thus starting what has evolved into the present Bluffs Vision Care, P.C. He enjoys explaining his exam technique and findings to his patients, which with the addition of the Optos has added a new dimension to his practice. He is certified in  therapeutics, glaucoma treatment and LASIK co-management.

Dr. Krieg is a Scottsbluff High School graduate. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln and received his doctorate in optometry from Pacific University College of Optometry, Forest Grove, Oregon. He completed a general externship at the Vancouver Veterans Administration Medical Center, Vancouver, Washington. Dr. Krieg joined the practice in 1981 and became a partner in 1982. He is certified in therapeutics, glaucoma treatment and LASIK co-management.

Dr. Darnell also graduated from Scottsbluff High School. He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln and received his doctorate in optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry, Houston, Texas. He completed an ocular disease externship at Braverman Eye Center, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and a LASIK externship at the Laser Institute of the Rockies in Denver, Colorado. He joined the practice in 2004 and became a partner in 2006. Dr. Darnell is certified in therapeutics, glaucoma treatment and LASIK co-management. He enjoys spending free time with his family.
