In 1981 Inspecta-Homes became the first firm in this area to have its Inspectors certified by the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI). In the state of Minnesota, as in many other states, there is no certification or licensing required to become a private Home Inspector. ASHI is the only organization for Inspectors that requires an Inspector to demonstrate their knowledge through a series of examinations and hands-on experience before they will grant them membership. A candidate must pass two 4 hour exams and do a minimum of 250 inspections done to the ASHI Standards of Practice to be eligible for membership.

Hiring an ASHI certified Inspector is your assurance that the Inspector has the knowledge and experience to provide you with a comprehensive and professional inspection of your new home.
