My Glass Wings is a stained glass studio and gift shop located in northeastern Michigan. Historic downtown Alpena’s Johnrowe building, near the shores of Lake Huron, has been home to MGW since 2004. Creating one of a kind custom work, offering stained glass supplies and classes; gifts of glass; original crafted items by local artisans; and doing stained glass repairs, has kept MGW evolving and constantly changing.

Gathering together the skills acquired over years of traveling as the spouse of a military member, experience collected from a wide range of employment opportunities and the desire to “create” with glass combined into a home based studio in 2003. Early 2004 found MGW moving to a larger retail oriented space, firmly established and defined with the following mission statement:

• To share a love for art glass with our customers
• by translation, design and creation,
• while providing an atmosphere and opportunity for
• self-expression and discovery.

Self-expression and discovery have become the heart of My Glass Wings, where classes, repairs and unique custom creations have become a well traveled avenue for us and our customers.
