Blake Realty was founded in 1922 by Samuel E. Blake and in 1954 was incorporated as Blake Realty, Inc. In 1968 the first branch was opened in Amsterdam, NY and in 1970 divisions were developed to serve various segments of our business including residential, commercial, relocation, investment and development.

Since the 1970's Blake Realty has actively engaged in an extensive merger and acquisition campaign, creating affiliations with 20+ leading real estate companies serving various areas of Northeastern New York (most recently, CA North Realty of Malta and Tinkham Real Estate of Hoosick Falls in 2012).

Through these efforts Blake Realty has attracted many of the top professionals in our industry and expanded our marketplace to cover an area of more than 6,500 square miles.

The most dramatic change in our organization took place on February 17th, 2015, when Blake Realty, Inc. became part of the fastest growing real estate company in the world, Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices. This change was implemented to position our company and our agents to best meet the needs of the future.
