In 1915, Weidel was established as an insurance and real estate brokerage by Karl Weidel, Jr. When the second generation of the Weidel family entered the business, they had just returned from active military duty in World War II. In 1949, Karl Weidel, III, continued the insurance division, while Richard A. Weidel, Sr., began working in real estate sales.

During the 1950's, through the guidance of R
ichard A. Weidel, Sr., Weidel Realtors was distinguished as a pioneer of the real estate industry. For instance, in 1959, we broke new ground as one of the first real estate brokers in Central New Jersey to expand a single office operation by opening a "branch" office. In the 1960s, Mr. Weidel became a founding member of Mercer County's Multiple Listing Service. Throughout this decade, Weidel's innovations toward consumer convenience included the creation of the Valu-Vision Show of Homes and the Rand-O-Matic, both tools to market in-house listings to the public and other brokers.

Weidel garnered prominence in the 1970s through the expansion of multiple branch offices and recognition via national affiliations. In the 1980s, the Richard A. Weidel Corporation broadened its business focus to incorporate all aspects of comprehensive real estate services. Thanks to the vision of Richard A. Weidel, CEO, we expanded our services through the implementation of a mortgage company, national relocation services and a real estate pre-licensing school.

In the 1990s, Weidel's services extended to include an insurance arm offering title and general liability. In addition, we developed our unique Quality Service Guarantee--a goal-oriented marketing approach that defines the home seller's expectations. Through this marketing strategy, the entire Weidel team, including the President and CEO, shares accountability and strives toward the mutual goal to provide superior service to each and every client.

The past 2 decades have been marked by Weidel's strong focus on client-centric service. This has been most exemplified by our "revolutionary" Five Star business platform. The goal of this platform is to provide maximum listing exposure at the least cost for the greatest net gain.
