Home Warranty, Inc. was started in 1999 by the owner of a successful appliance repair company with 28 years of repair experience, determined to put together a plan that covered items in the home more comprehensively, allowed the use of local contractors, and paid contractors more quickly for completed work.

Headquartered in the state of Iowa, Home Warranty now covers eighteen states and continues to add territories as the company moves toward achieving national coverage.
