Christine Q Xu, Mortgage Broker, AMP (Lic. M08000638) and branch manager with Mortgage Architects (lic.10287). Christine Q Xu has been working at financial industry in Toronto since 1990. She first worked at retail banking, and later moved to become an investment advisor in 1993. In 2000, she became one of the first Mandarin-speaking mortgage agents in Toronto. She was later a partner and one of the founding members of LendingDirect Corporation, a Toronto mortgage brokerage firm. With her knowledge of the Canadian banking and investment system, a great local network of bankers and lenders, and a wealth of experience in the industry, Christine has helped thousands of clients to obtain mortgages and loans and to achieve their financial dreams. Christine has received many awards from different financial institutions in recent years.
Christine graduated from University of Toronto with a B.A. degree in Economics. Before she came to Canada in 1989, she studied at Nanjing Normal University majoring in English Language and Literature. She is an active member in local communities. For the past ten years, she serves on the Board of Directors for the Chinese Professional Association of Canada (CPAC), an association with over 28,000 members in Toronto. She is a Trustee of Education Foundation of CPAC. She is also on the Board of Directors of Canada-China Realty Professional Association (CCRPA), etc. She has been invited as a guest speaker in many different investment seminars and contributes to many newspaper articles on the topics of mortgages and loans. She is also a Volunteer Award receipient in 2007.

Some brokers have crowded trophy cases. Christine Xu is one of them.
Christine Xu has appeared on the CMP Top 75 four times, landed on the CMP Hot List twice, been recognized as one of Canada’s top 10 commercial brokers, received the Chinese Business Excellence Award and was named a Woman of Influence in Canada’s mortgage industry.
But none of these accolades mean as much to her as the statue she took home in May 2015 for CMA’s Mortgage Broker of the Year—Alternative Lending.
“The Alternative Mortgage Broker of the Year Award is the one I’m most proud of. I believe the best we can do in this industry is become a strong alternative broker,” she says. “If a person is fully qualified they can go anywhere to get a mortgage. We add value when we can help people who are not that qualified, who are refused by A lenders.”
