Todd Porter, Junk King Capital District New York, says, “I want my children to inherit a clean, safe, and friendly world.” Todd and his wife Christine launched their junk removal business in the fall of 2011 in Albany, Greene, Rensselaer, Saratoga, and Schenectady counties to help people haul away unwanted odds and ends of junk. Todd started this Capital District Junk Removal Business after spending 13 years as a paralegal in a Park Avenue Manhattan law firm. His goal was to bring white collar professionalism to a true blue collar industry. He says, “We call first, show up on time or at least make a phone call. We do what we say we will do in an allotted time. We are polite, understanding, and respectful. We get the job done.”

Todd found that people really want to clean out their homes or apartments but they face a couple of issues. First, they do not have the time, energy, or resources to crawl in an attic or basement to lug up large items of furniture to empty a residence. Secondly, they don’t want to see things they or their family have accumulated over years unceremoniously dumped into our choked landfills. This is where Junk King’s recycling based approach to junk and waste disposal comes to the rescue. Todd says, “We can do the work so they don’t have to. Services include things like: appliance removal, hot tub disposal, electronics waste disposal, trash removal and mattress disposal. We are also committed to donating, re-purposing, and recycling so their junk can be saved from the landfill.” Todd and his crew make things easier, simpler, and they take the stress away from a difficult transition.
