Storage

St. John's Transfer Ltd. maintains 23,000 square feet of warehouse space. We have the only containerized storage in the area. The empty containers will be loaded onto a truck, transported to your home, where your goods will be padded and packed into the containers for a dust free storage environment. Our warehouse is alarmed, clean, dry and temperature controlled year-round. Storage can be arranged on a short-term basis or for longer periods, depending on your requirements.

Our Local Moving Services

Few events in life match the stress of moving. St. John's Transfer will handle your move with care every step of the way and give you a few less things to worry about. We can take care of everything for you from packing, loading, unloading and unpacking. Here is a list of what we offer for local household moving customers.

Estimate: An estimate will need to be done in your home by our professionally trained Moving Consultant. This will include a survey of what items are being moved and an explanation of our services and answers to your questions. Local moves are based on an hourly rate, therefore, our moving consultant will estimate how long your move will take and present you with a written estimate. On moving day, you will pay for the actual hours your move takes.
Packing: Our packers are professionally trained. On packing day, our crew will use professional packing materials to provide the finest protection for your belongings. Packing is usually done the day before the actual move.

Loading: Our driver and his crew will lay floor runners down to protect the high traffic areas of your floors during the loading process. Your furniture will be wrapped in quilted moving blankets for extra protection. Upholstered items such as sofas and chairs will be wrapped in plastic covers.
Delivery: Upon arrival at your new home, the driver and his crew will lay down floor runners, unload items off the truck, and unwrap and place them in the household as you direct them. They will reassemble any items that they disassembled at the loading site(beds, etc.).
Unpacking: If we packed your goods, we will unpack as well if you so desire. This is sometimes done on the day after delivery. We will place items on countertops/tables and remove all empty cartons and packing material from your residence.
