First, I try to be as thorough and timely as possible. I encourage you to be at the inspection and am willing to take as much time as needed to answer your questions. When you hire me, yours will be the only home that I inspect that day. I do not believe that I can properly inspect and report on your home, nor can I answer all your questions if I have to rush off to another inspection for someone else. Also, you get your written report the day that I perform the inspection, but I do not write the report while doing the inspection since I feel that it distracts from the inspection process. I will return to my office to write the report after completing the inspection and will send it to you that night. You can view a SAMPLE HOME INSPECTION REPORT that would be similar to the one you would receive; this report is on my (imperfect) house.

Secondly, I have over 25 years of experience both in Home Inspections and Home Construction and Remodeling. I learned the trade from other professionals and have spent many years honing my skills. I have been a home owner since 1979 and am familiar with the upkeep and maintenance needed to keep a home in good condition. Also, I understand that no home is perfect and will discuss with you how to handle the imperfections that your home has.

Thirdly, I am more than happy to answer your questions, both during the inspection and afterwards, if necessary. I encourage you to be present at the inspection and to participate in the process so that you have the best understanding that I can provide about the house that you are buying. Also, sometimes a bank will need a brief follow-up letter to satisfy a concern raised by an appraiser. I will gladly provide you such a letter if needed. Buying a home is a difficult enough process for you and I try to smooth the path to your success.
