Wells Federal was organized by a group of Wells, Minnesota business leaders in 1934 in an effort to enrich the area by promoting home ownership and thrift.

That philosophy has continued to guide the bank through more than 70 years of growth and service to families throughout South Central Minnesota.

Today, Wells Federal Bank is a federally chartered stock savings bank still headquartered in its hometown of Wells, Minnesota. Stock in its holding company, Wells Financial Corp., is traded over-the-counter under the symbol WEFP.

The bank continues to be a community oriented financial institution offering a variety of banking services to meet the needs of the communities it serves. In addition to the home office, Wells Federal has full service offices located in Minnesota in Blue Earth, Mankato, North Mankato, Fairmont, Albert Lea, St. Peter, Owatonna as well as a loan office located in Farmington.
