Based in Dallas, Texas since 1993, we started operations under the name North Texas Residential Mortgage. We enjoyed great success early on and before long we were serving the entire state of Texas. This growth caused us to drop the word "North" and operate simply as Texas Residential Mortgage.

We started opening offices all over the country and saw production quickly grow. In addition to brokering loans, we secured warehouse lines and started funding some of our loans as a mortgage banker.

We continued to grow and thrive in the industry. In 2003 and 2004 we were recognized by INC Magazine as one of the top fastest growing private companies. It was also during this time when the name Texas Residential Mortgage was changed to Southwest Funding to better accommodate business in other states.
