If you ask Scott, he will say he has been an interior designer for 100 years. What started as a routine interview in 1986 at Boulder Interiors turned out to be the start of a lifelong design education.

After working at Boulder Interiors, Scott worked for different flooring stores in Colorado.   From there, Scott helped another interior designer rebuild his studio after the flood of 1993 in Historic Valley Junction. During this time, he received several requests from clients for construction projects for their homes.  Scott gained huge insight into interior design through his work with all aspects of construction including: remodeling apartments, laying carpet, tile installation, painting, upholstery, installing HVAC, electrical and plumbing work.

Scott then wanted more knowledge in the furnishing aspect of design and went to work for a local furniture retailer in Iowa for about 3 years.  Armed with a complete picture of home design, he began ‘Scott’s Creative Home.’
Our Studio

Scott’s Creative Home initially began as a studio in Historic Valley Junction in an old house.  The house was gutted and redesigned as a destination for clients and their project ideas.   Scott enjoyed creating his business and saw much growth during those first years. With the added business, came the opportunity to move into a larger space.
